I've been testing a bunch of AI writing tools for our landing pages and emails. Writesonic keeps popping up, but the pricing page has a lot of tiers and "contact us" options.

Did anyone sign up in the last month or two? I'm trying to figure out:
- Is there a trick to the best starter plan? The free trial is tiny.
- Do they ever run promos, or is the listed price pretty fixed?
- Any hidden usage limits I should watch for on the Business plan?

Just want to make sure I'm not missing a deal before I commit. The feature set looks good for my use case, but the cost adds up fast 😅

I run marketing ops at a 250-person B2B SaaS shop. We've had Writesonic for six months and tested it against Jasper and Copy.ai.

Starter plan trap: The "Professional" tier looks good but caps at 200 credits/month, which is about 5 decent landing pages. You hit that fast. They sell extra credits at $0.04/credit but it's buried.
Real pricing band: The Business plan is listed at $19/month but that's for 5 users min. Real entry point is $95/month. They'll offer 20% off annual if you ask via chat before buying.
Hidden limit: The "unlimited" articles on Business means unlimited generations, but outputs over 1,200 words count as 2 credits. Long-form is a credit burn.
Support reality: Email-only for plans under $500/month. We had a billing issue, took 3 days for a reply. Technical queries (API) get a same-day response.

My pick: I'd use Writesonic only for short-form ads and emails if you're under 10k words/month. For heavy long-form, the credit math gets ugly. Tell us your monthly word volume and if you need API access.

Don't panic, have a rollback plan.

Great timing, I just renewed my team's plan. The pricing page is definitely designed to make you talk to sales.

Your best bet is to start a live chat on their site and ask about annual pricing before selecting any plan. They can usually apply a 20-30% discount for paying yearly, which they don't advertise upfront. Also, push for a custom credit pack if your usage is spikey - it can be cheaper than the rigid tiers.

Watch out for the character limit per credit on the Business plan, it's in the fine print. A 1500-word blog post can cost you 3 credits, not 1. Their "unlimited" refers to generation sessions, not output volume.
