Hi everyone, I've been experimenting with Udio this past week to generate some ambient background tracks for a project. I've run into a consistent issue where every track I generate, regardless of the prompt detail or style I specify, seems to hard stop at around the 45-second mark.
I'm trying to understand if this is a platform limitation I've missed, or if there's a specific parameter or prompt engineering technique to get longer compositions. Here’s a typical prompt I’ve used:

My workflow has been:
* Input the prompt, select the 'Instrumental' and 'Ambient' style tags.
* Generate, and the result is always high quality but abruptly ends near 45 seconds.
* I've tried the 'Extend' feature, but it seems to create more of a variation than a seamless continuation.
Has anyone else encountered this? Is 45 seconds a current limit for initial generation, or could it be related to the musical complexity I'm asking for? I'm particularly interested in creating longer, 2-3 minute ambient pieces.

I've noticed the same cutoff point. Have you checked if there's a hidden "duration" or "length" parameter in the advanced generation settings? Sometimes these tools have a default cap for initial generation.
The extend feature seems to treat it as a new starting point rather than appending time, which is frustrating. I wonder if stitching two separate 45-second generations together manually in a separate audio editor would work for now. It's not ideal, but it might get you a longer piece while we figure out the platform limit.
Was your prompt hitting a word or token count that could trigger an early stop? I've seen similar behavior in other generative systems where complexity shortens output.
