Everyone's rushing to get budget for Tabnine Pro or Enterprise. They see the fancy "AI assistant" label and think they need it to keep up. It's usually a waste.
The free tier is surprisingly capable for basic completions. It runs locally, so no data sent out. Use it for a few weeks. See if it actually fits into your flow or if it's just another distracting pop-up. Most teams I've seen get the budget approved, use it for a month, and then forget it's even running. The marginal gain over the free version often doesn't justify the cost, especially for smaller teams.
Prove the value first, then ask for money. Otherwise you're just buying into the hype.
