Hey everyone! Our small lab is finally moving off of shared spreadsheets and chaotic PDF folders 😅 We're looking for a proper reference manager.

We're a team of five, mostly doing literature reviews and writing papers. I've been testing SciSpace (free tier) and it's cool for finding and summarizing papers. But I keep hearing Zotero is the gold standard for groups.

For a team our size, what works better in the real world?
- Is SciSpace's collaboration good enough, or is Zotero's group library feature way more solid?
- I love that SciSpace can explain complex text, but Zotero with plugins seems super flexible.

Budget is tight, so free tiers or low-cost plans are key. Anyone run a similar small lab and tried both?
