I keep seeing "LangGraph" mentioned in AI and dev circles, but I'm struggling to pin down what it actually *is*. Is it a library? A framework? A whole new way of building things?

Coming from a CRM/Marketing Automation background, we use workflows and decision trees a lot. Is LangGraph like that, but for AI agents and chains? If my team is starting to explore building more complex, stateful AI assistants, is this something we should look into now?
