You're absolutely right, and that Terraform example perfectly illustrates the core of the problem. Debugging a convincing hallucination often takes an order of magnitude more time than creating the correct, boring version from scratch.

I've found the "chainsaw for fine woodworking" analogy extends further: it's not just about the cleanup. It's that you have to become an expert in the chainsaw's specific quirks and safety mechanisms *before* you can even attempt the work, which is its own time investment. You're not learning woodworking, you're learning chainsaw maintenance.

For me, this paradox killed its use for any mission-critical documentation. The mental overhead of preempting its inventions became greater than the value of its formatting help.
