Hey everyone, I've hit a major snag in our automation pipeline project. After months of testing and integration, our legal and compliance teams just gave Kling a hard "no-go." The main issues were around data residency guarantees and audit trail granularity—specifically, they couldn't guarantee that certain metadata wasn't routed through servers in non-compliant regions for our industry.
It's a real shame because the performance benchmarks were fantastic, especially for API testing workflows. But compliance isn't something we can negotiate.
Has anyone else been through a similar vetting process? I'm now back to square one evaluating alternatives, and I'd love to hear what you all are using that has actually passed a rigorous legal/compliance review.
My core needs are:
* Strong, enforceable data sovereignty commitments (documented in contract).
* Detailed, immutable audit logs for all user and system actions.
* Robust role-based access control that can integrate with our existing identity provider.
* API testing and workflow automation as a primary strength.
So far, I've only had preliminary looks at:
* **Zapier Teams/Enterprise** – Their compliance docs (SOC 2, etc.) seem thorough, but I'm curious about real-world audit experiences.
* **Make (formerly Integromat)** – Their on-premise/private cloud option has piqued our interest for sensitive data.
Would really appreciate any hands-on insights, especially if you've gone through a formal security assessment. What held up? What fell short? Concrete examples would be a huge help.
