We were logging OpenAI API calls ourselves for cost and usage tracking. It was a mess of scripts and dashboards. Finally bit the bullet and moved to Helicone last month.

The migration wasn't a straight swap. Had to update all our app code to use the Helicone proxy URL and headers. The biggest hiccup was with our async batch processingβ€”had to adjust timeouts. But the wins are real: seeing latency by model and user in one dashboard is huge for spotting issues. Also, their caching cut our GPT-4 costs for repeated queries noticeably. 😅

Curious if others have hit specific snags with tagging or if you've found the analytics useful for more than just cost tracking? Like, for informing prompt engineering?
