We're troubleshooting constant 429 errors from Hailuo. Their support says it's 'normal'.

Hey everyone, new here but I've been lurking for a bit! I've been trying to get our small team set up with Hailuo for the past couple of weeks, mainly for automating some of our client report generation and project status updates. The promise of a no-code workflow tool seemed perfect for us.

However, I've hit a massive wall that's basically stopping our integration dead in the water: constant 429 "Too Many Requests" errors. And I mean constantβ€”like, we can't make more than 3 or 4 API calls in a short span without getting rate limited. Our workflows are designed to batch process maybe 10-15 items at a time, which is not a huge number in my mind? We're a team of 5 people!

I reached out to their support about this, and their response was... confusing. They essentially said this level of rate limiting is "normal" and "expected" for the platform to ensure stability for all users. They suggested adding 2-3 second delays between every single action in our automations. But that completely defeats the purpose of automation for usβ€”it would make processes slower than doing them manually!

So my big question is... how does this compare to other no-code automation platforms you all have used? Like Zapier, Make, or even n8n? Is this a standard practice? I've used Zapier before and never encountered this unless we were on a seriously high volume tier.

I'm trying to understand if this is just the reality of working with Hailuo's infrastructure and we need to redesign all our workflows to be super slow, or if there's something we're missing. Our plan isn't even the highest tier, but it's not the free one either. Are we structuring our calls wrong? Is there a best practice for batching that we're unaware of? The documentation hasn't been super clear on actual, practical limits.

Really hoping some of you with more experience can shed some light on this. It's super frustrating because the product itself seems great for our needs, but this one issue is a total showstopper. 😅
