Hey everyone, total newbie here. I've been trying to use Descript to edit a simple voiceover for a tutorial I'm making.

I recorded my script, but when I started editing in Descript, my voice was super quiet and the waveform looked tiny. I tried using the "Normalize" feature, but it just amplified the background noise and hiss along with my voice. It sounded terrible 😅

Turns out, my mic input level in my system settings was way too low. I had to go back and re-record everything. Learned my lesson: check your audio levels *before* you hit record in Descript, because fixing it after is really hard. Just wanted to share so others don't make the same silly mistake.
