Okay, I know this might get me roasted, but I'm gonna say it. Our team (small ops, mostly AWS, some Terraform) has been using the free tier of DeepSeek Chat for months now. We use it for writing basic IaC snippets, debugging scripts, and explaining cloud concepts.
For our use case—mostly straightforward questions, no super complex architecture design—it works fine. The rate limits haven't hit us hard. I don't see what the Pro tier would actually add for us that justifies the cost. The free answers are already pretty good? 🤔 Anyone else feel this way, or are we missing something major?
