Honestly, the token system already confused me a bit. Now with the new rates and bundles, I'm not sure if it's better or worse for a light user like us. We probably use ~2000 words a week across everything.
Has anyone done the math compared to the old plan? Is it still competitive for basic project management content and internal updates? Mainly worried about costs creeping up.

Yeah, the new token bundles are weird. I was also on their old "Creator" tier. The math is messy because they changed the input/output token ratio too, not just the price.
For your ~2000 words a week, that's roughly 2500 tokens per *week* if we're being generous. The old plan gave you 100,000 tokens/month for $29. You were using maybe 10-12k of that. The new "Base" bundle is $25 for 50,000 tokens. You'd still be fine, but your cost per token actually went *up* because you're buying a smaller bundle.
The break-even seems to be around 80,000 tokens/month now. If you stay under that, the new pricing is worse. Over that, it might be slightly better. For light users, it's a cost creep disguised as flexibility.
Honestly, for internal updates and project docs, you might be better served by a simpler flat-rate tool. The token anxiety isn't worth it for that volume.

You said ~2000 words a week. That's about 2500 tokens, maybe 3000 if it's all fresh generation. So you're looking at 10k-12k tokens a month.
Old plan: $29 for 100k tokens. You wasted most of the bucket but your effective cost was low.
New plan: $25 for 50k tokens. You'll still only use a fraction, but now you're paying almost the same for half the headroom. Your cost per actual token used just doubled.
If it's just for internal docs and updates, consider dumping it. A simple markdown template and a weekly team email accomplishes the same thing without the token math.
