Alright, let's get into it. We've been piloting Consensus for about a month now with a 15-user team focused on retail analytics. They're a mix of data analysts, category managers, and a couple of VPs. Overall sentiment is leaning positive on the core search and summarization features, but we hit some real friction points that I think are worth documenting.

The biggest immediate breakage was around saved searches and alerts. We assumed users could set up a persistent search for a key competitor or product category and get regular digests. The system does generate them, but the notification delivery is inconsistent—some users get them in-app only, some get emails, others get nothing. There's no apparent pattern to it, and it's undermined trust in the tool as a monitoring solution. We've had to revert to manual checks, which defeats the purpose.

A subtler but critical issue is source bias creeping in. For a retail context, we need a broad view across trade publications, financial news, and niche blogs. We're seeing a heavy over-reliance on a few major publishers in certain categories, missing regional or specialty sources that this team knows are important. It requires constant prompting and tweaking of queries to dig deeper, which the less technical users aren't doing. They're taking the first page of results as "the answer."

On the admin side, the lack of granular usage analytics is a pain. I can see total queries run, but not *which* queries are being run repeatedly (to identify a potential workflow gap), or which users are actively engaged. This makes it hard to tailor support or justify the expansion.

Has anyone else rolled this out to a specialized business group? How did you handle the alert reliability and the source diversity issue? I'm particularly interested in workarounds for the saved search alerts—did you have to build a separate layer on top?
