I've been testing ChatPDF for research papers. It's clever, but I keep going back to just highlighting text and adding my own notes in the margin.
* The AI summary is neat, but I spend as much time verifying it as I would reading the section myself.
* For my use case (extracting specific config patterns or cost data), the ROI isn't there. I need precision, not paraphrasing.
Anyone else find that a simpler, manual tool gives you more reliable results for technical docs? What's your actual workflow?
