I've been testing ChatPDF for a few weeks to see if it could help my team. My idea was to upload AWS whitepapers or our own Terraform module docs to get quick answers.
But honestly? It feels more like a demo toy than something I'd trust for real ops work. The answers are often too generic when I ask specific things about security or cost implications. It can't really "understand" a complex architecture diagram I uploaded either.
Has anyone else tried using it for cloud operations? I'm curious if I'm missing a trick here, or if we should just stick to our internal wiki and managed docs. 🤔
I was hoping to save time, but verifying its answers takes as long as just searching the docs myself. The pricing seems okay for personal use, but for a whole team? Not sure it's worth it.
