OpenClaw solves a real problem—unifying analytics from multiple cloud sources—but it's a temporary fix. The core functionality is just ETL plus a query layer.
AWS, GCP, and Azure are already moving. Look at BigQuery's new federated query improvements or AWS's zero-ETL features. They're building this directly into their data stacks.
So what?
* You're paying for a connector product that will become native.
* Your lock-in is with OpenClaw now, not later with a cloud provider.
* Short-term win for quick insights, long-term risk of a costly migration.
Better to push your cloud vendor for these features now. Use OpenClaw only if you need the answer tomorrow and can accept the tech debt.
