Okay, so I've been deep in the weeds prepping for a HubSpot to Salesforce migration (again...), and it got me thinking about how we handle location data for our sales territories. That led me down this rabbit hole of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) tools.

We all know AI-driven search (like Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini) is changing how people find info. It's not just about ranking #1 for a keyword anymore. It's about whether your content gets surfaced as a *source* in those AI-generated answers. GEO/AEO visibility tools are built specifically for this new layer. They track if and how your content is being cited, which specific snippets are used, and the "authority" you're building within these AI answer engines.

From a RevOps perspective, this is huge for local SEO and competitive intelligence. Imagine you're a CRM consultancy in Chicago. A traditional rank tracker might tell you you're #3 for "salesforce implementation services." But a GEO tool could show you that your detailed "Salesforce CPQ Implementation Checklist" blog post is consistently referenced as a source in AI answers for that query *and* related ones, even if you don't rank #1 organically. That's a different kind of visibility that's hard to measure otherwise.

I'm curious if anyone here has tried tools like Originality.ai's AEO tracker, or others like Authoritas in this space. How are you factoring this data into your content strategy? Especially when you're already juggling data quality and reporting from your main CRM platforms, adding another data source is a commitment. Is the insight worth it yet, or are we still in the early adopter phase?
