We've been using Citation Junction for a while, and while it gets the job done for basic local citation building and cleanup, I'm feeling its limitations. The interface is a bit clunky, and reporting isn't as granular as I'd like for tracking progress across hundreds of locations.
I need to evaluate alternatives, but I want to steer clear of the usual suspects—BrightLocal and Yext. BrightLocal's great for audits but their building workflow feels slow to me, and Yext's subscription model is a non-starter for this budget.
So I'm looking for platforms that can handle:
* Bulk location management (we have ~150 service-area businesses).
* Consistent citation submission and update capabilities.
* Some level of duplicate detection and cleanup.
* Reporting that goes beyond just a list of sites, showing score changes over time.
I've poked around at a few like **Whitespark** (seems robust but maybe overkill?) and **Moz Local** (strong on data aggregators, but how is their direct submission?). Also came across **Local Viking** and **Synup** (formerly GetListed).
Has anyone done a deep dive on these or others lately? I'm especially curious about:
* Database accuracy and how often they refresh their listings.
* The actual hands-on time needed to manage submissions vs. set-and-forget.
* How they handle those tricky, hard-to-update directories beyond the major ones.
Really hoping to compare the actual workflow efficiency and data freshness. Any hands-on experiences or side-by-side feature breakdowns would be super helpful.
