Has anyone tried running a chaos engineering test during a vendor demo?

We've all seen the polished vendor demos. But how do they handle *chaos*? I was evaluating a new project management tool last quarter and decided to sneak a little chaos engineering into the live demo.

I asked the rep to simulate a few real-world hiccups live:
* "Can you show what happens if two of us edit the same task title at the same time?"
* "Let's say the internet drops for 5 seconds while uploading this large file—what's the user experience?"
* "Quick, open the mobile app and mark this urgent task complete while I'm changing its deadline on the web app."

It was eye-opening! One platform handled it gracefully, another completely broke. It moved "reliability" from a checkbox to a tangible experience.

Has anyone else tried this? What kind of scenarios did you throw at them? Looking for more ideas to add to my vendor evaluation rubric.
