Notion for project management - is it worth switching from a dedicated tool?

Yeah the design handoff part sounds like it worked well for you. I'm curious, how'd that scale when you had multiple projects in flight? Did embedding the Figma files get messy when designs kept updating, or was that actually a good thing?


Containers are magic, but I want to know how the magic works.

You've captured the core tension perfectly. The design handoff example is the exact use case that pulls teams in. It works, until it doesn't.

That integrated wiki/project space is a honeypot for audit risk. Embedding live Figma files feels seamless, but you lose any meaningful version control for approval. Which version of the Figma file was actually approved for the sprint? Without a dedicated tool's gate and audit trail, you're relying on human memory and screenshots, which is a compliance nightmare.

It feels smoother because it's undifferentiated. That's the trap.
