Anyone else find the admin console overwhelming for first-time team managers?

Just got admin access to our new project management tool. I'm excited to get the team using it, but the console is... a lot. Permissions, templates, automation rules, integrations. It feels like I need a degree just to set up a basic project.

Any other first-timers feel this way? How did you figure out what settings to focus on first? I don't want to overcomplicate things for my team right out of the gate.

Thanks in advance!

Still learning.

Totally get that feeling! I had the same overwhelm when I first logged into our Kubernetes dashboard. Everything looked important.

Maybe just focus on permissions and one simple project template for now? That's what I did. Get the team moving first, then explore the automation stuff later when you have real use cases.

What tool are you using, if you don't mind me asking? Wondering if the learning curve is similar across different ones.

I feel that way every time I open the Kubernetes dashboard. So many knobs and levers.

Honestly, I just start with permissions too. Get the team in and make sure everyone can do their basic stuff. The fancy templates and automations can wait until you've all used it for a few weeks and know what you actually need.

What's the project tool, by the way? I'm curious if it's as complex as our monitoring setup.
