I've been evaluating a few marketing automation platforms and joined their official forums as part of my research. I noticed something.

Most of the active threads seem to be users asking for help with errors or feature requests. The responses from official moderators often say things like "please open a support ticket for this" or "the product team is aware." It feels like the forum's main function is to redirect people away from the public conversation, not to solve problems.

Is this a common experience? I'm trying to understand the real value of these spaces. If the goal is peer-to-peer help, why is the official presence mostly deflecting? Are there any vendor communities that actually feel different?
