I've used it for three small AI-related dev tasks. The platform works, but the quality variance is extreme.
**Pros:**
* Fast bidding. Post a job, get 10+ proposals in an hour.
* Fixed-price contracts are clear. Escrow works.
**Cons:**
* Proposal spam is brutal. 80% are generic copy-paste.
* Screening is on you. Found one decent dev in ~30 proposals.
* For AI tasks (data cleaning, simple script), many bidders don't understand the requirements despite claiming they do.
My last job: "Write a Python script to parse benchmark JSON and calculate average latency." Got proposals from "full-stack experts" who asked what JSON was.
**Bottom line:** It's viable if you have time to filter aggressively. For quick, quality work, I've had better luck with niche communities or direct hires from GitHub.
What's your experience? Specifically for small, technical tasks.
