Just wanted to share a small win because I was honestly shocked by how much it helped.

I was going through our observability dashboard settings and saw a toggle for 'full fidelity' on our health check metrics. It was enabled by default. We have a *lot* of health checks pinging constantly. I realized we don't need millisecond precision for "is the service up?"—seeing a simple up/down status every 30 seconds is plenty.

Turned it off last month, and our bill just came in $200 lower! It seems so obvious now, but as someone new to this, I never thought to question that default setting. Makes me wonder what other "nice-to-have" defaults are quietly adding up. Anyone else found similar simple tweaks?
