Thoughts on the merger between Campaign Monitor and Marigold? Red flags?

So Marigold finally swallowed Campaign Monitor, huh? The marketing emails are calling it a "merger" but let's be real—it's a consolidation play when growth stalls. We've seen this movie before.

My immediate red flags:

* **The "Integrated Platform" Promise:** Brace for a 2-year migration hellscape where nothing works and support tickets vanish into a black hole. They'll sell you on a unified dashboard, but you'll be stitching together APIs yourself.
* **Price Creep:** The "advanced features" will magically become a new, more expensive tier. Your "legacy" Campaign Monitor plan? Sunset in 18 months, guaranteed.
* **Tool Bloat:** Marigold's portfolio is already a zoo of acquired products. Adding another one just means more half-baked integrations and a heavier, slower platform. Remember when simple email tools just sent emails?

I'm sure the account managers are already scheduling "roadmap briefings" to dazzle you with AI-driven hyper-personalization widgets or whatever. Meanwhile, deliverability will probably take a hit as they mess with the backend.

Anyone else getting nervous about their existing workflows breaking? Or are we all just waiting to see which reliable, boring feature gets "deprecated" first for something shinier and more useless?
