Everyone's pushing their enterprise observability suite with a 30% annual price hike. I needed a simple way to track actual, variable LLM costs across multiple providers without another platform commitment.
Used the Claw API to pull raw usage data into a local Grafana dashboard. Now I can see cost per model, per team, and catch when someone accidentally uses GPT-4 for a simple classification job. It's brittle, but the data is mine and the marginal cost is near zero. What are you all using to audit your vendor invoices? I don't trust their dashboards.
