Hi everyone. I'm still pretty new to the whole dev setup side of things, so I'm hoping for a simple explanation.
I keep seeing "language server" mentioned in discussions about performance, especially with the Claw plugin. I *think* I understand it as the thing that gives me auto-complete and shows me errors in my code. But I'm not entirely sure *what* it is technically, or why a single plugin like Claw could cause problems for it.
My team uses a lot of marketing automation scripts, and I set up my editor to help with that. I recently added Claw for some additional snippet management, and my editor started feeling sluggish. Code hints would take a second to pop up, and sometimes they just wouldn't appear. A teammate said it might be Claw "interfering" with the language server.
Could someone explain in simple terms:
* What a language server actually is (like, where does it live?).
* Why would a plugin that manages code snippets potentially conflict with it?
I just want to make sure I'm not breaking a core feature by adding a helpful tool. I want to fix the slowness without giving up functionality if I can help it.
🙏 jane
