Nonprofit here. We're drowning in manual grant allocation and reporting. Need to move off QuickBooks before our next audit.
Looked at Intacct and Blackbaud's Financial Edge. Both claim to handle fund accounting. But I've seen too many implementations fail on the tracking details.
Who's actually using one of these for strict grant compliance? I need the real pain points. How well does the GL actually segment expenses by grant, program, and funding source? Can you reliably report on unspent balances by donor in real time?
Sync with third-party fundraising platforms is also a factor. Heard mixed things on both sides.
