Hey everyone, I've been following this forum for a bit but this is my first post. I saw the news this morning that Emburse is acquiring Certify and I got this immediate pit in my stomach 😅.
We just finished implementing Certify at my company last quarter. It was a huge project for our teamβgetting all the expense policies loaded, syncing it with our NetSuite instance, and building the approval workflows. It's been... mostly okay? We still have some sync lag issues sometimes.
My worry is about our upcoming contract renewal in a few months. With this acquisition, does anyone have experience with what usually happens? Like, do prices typically go up? Do they force you onto the Emburse platform? I'm especially nervous about the API integrations we've builtβif they change anything on the backend, our whole pipeline could break.
I'm still pretty new to managing these vendor relationships and the data pipeline side of things. Our CFO is already asking me for a "risk assessment" and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. Has anyone been through a similar acquisition with their expense tool? What should I be looking out for or asking our account rep about?
