**Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)**
* App-centric model. No network IP reachability.
* Requires connector appliances in your data center/cloud.
* Strong focus on outbound-only user-to-app connections. Good for internet-first.
**Netskope Private Access (NPA)**
* Still app-centric but can leverage their SWG footprint.
* Uses lightweight "edge connectors" vs heavier appliances.
* Tighter integration with their SSE suite (SWG, CASB, DLP). If you're already using Netskope for security web gateway, the path is simpler.
For a 200-user company, key considerations:
* **Existing investment:** Are you already using one vendor's SWG? Consolidation simplifies operations.
* **App location:** Mostly SaaS? Zscaler's outbound model fits. Heavy on-prem legacy apps? Evaluate connector deployment.
* **Threat stack:** Do you need deep CASB/DLP integration from the same pane of glass? Netskope leads here.
Both will work. The choice isn't about which is "better," but which architecture aligns with your existing infrastructure and security workflow.
