Looking at Zscaler for SASE but the quotes are high. Need to evaluate alternatives.
Who has moved off Zscaler for a SASE deployment? I'm focused on comparable security stacks and predictable pricing. Key requirements are solid SWG, CASB, and firewall-as-a-service. Also need clear contractual terms, especially around support SLAs and renewal price caps.
We ran a structured evaluation last year for a 500-user deployment with similar core requirements. The predictable pricing and clear SLAs you mentioned were also a top priority for us after dealing with opaque renewal cycles elsewhere.
Our shortlist came down to Netskope and Palo Alto Prisma Access. Both offered the integrated SWG, CASB, and FWaaS stack. For contractual terms, Palo Alto was more willing to negotiate multi-year price caps on paper, but Netskope's pricing model was inherently simpler per-user, which made long-term forecasting easier. We ultimately chose Netskope because its CASB felt more natively integrated with the web security layer, whereas Prisma's felt like two products stitched together.
Have you considered including a "ease of migration" criteria in your evaluation? Moving proxy PAC files and firewall rules from Zscaler's infrastructure became a significant project variable we initially underestimated.
