Everyone's rushing to Zscaler for Zero Trust Network Access. The hype is deafening. But for global manufacturing? Physical sites with legacy PLCs, ancient HMIs, and contractors needing temporary access? I'm skeptical.
Akamai's approach often gets overlooked. Their enterprise application access started with the CDN, so the global footprint is real. ZPA's agent dependency for every single thing can be a nightmare on locked-down factory floor machines. Heard any real-world stories about managing this in a plant? Or is this just another case of the shiny new thing winning over the actually practical one?
