Okay, I've been deep in Wiz for about 8 months now, building out our cloud security posture. The technical depth is fantastic for my team—we love the granularity for engineering and remediation.
But here's my issue: every time I need to pull a report for our leadership or board, it feels like I'm doing a major data translation project. The default views, even the "Risk" dashboards, are packed with jargon like "CVE count by severity," "resource count by cloud service," and raw numbers on "exposed storage buckets." It tells *me* everything, but it tells the board nothing they can act on or truly understand.
I end up spending hours each quarter:
- Exporting to CSV
- Munging the data in Sheets to create "Business Impact" categories (e.g., "Financial Risk from Unencrypted PII Storage")
- Translating technical findings into plain-language narratives
- Building simple charts that show trendlines aligned to business goals, not just vulnerability counts
Don't get me wrong, the data is all there, which is great. But shouldn't a platform at this level have some executive-facing reporting templates out of the box? Something that connects technical findings to business risk and compliance posture in a cleaner, more visual way?
Am I missing a hidden feature or a template gallery? Or is everyone else just doing the same manual lift? I'd love to hear how others are tackling this.

Data doesn't lie, but dashboards sometimes do.
I've noticed this too, even just from running demos. The data is incredibly rich, but framing it for anyone outside the security team feels like a secondary task.
Do you think it's a limitation in how they've built their dashboard logic? Like, maybe the view is built from the infrastructure up, not from the business risk down. I'm curious if anyone has gotten their custom report builder to output something simpler without needing a spreadsheet.
It seems like a common gap with technical platforms - the dashboard is really for the admin, not their audience.
