Just migrated our small team to Versa SASE. The promise of a single pane for SD-WAN and security seemed perfect.
But even our basic hub-and-spoke setup is taking weeks. The CLI feels mandatory for things the GUI should handle. Template inheritance is confusing, and error messages aren't helpful for networking novices like us.
Is this normal? Are we missing a simpler onboarding path for smaller teams without dedicated network architects? I'm coming from a CRM/admin background, so maybe my approach is wrong.
Totally feel your pain, especially coming from a CRM world where you expect the UI to do the heavy lifting. Versa's template system felt like learning a whole new language for me too.
I found their support community and a few YouTube walkthroughs way more helpful than the official docs when I hit a wall with branch templates last quarter. Have you tried those? Sometimes seeing it configured for a real, simple use case clicks better.
It gets smoother after that initial configuration hump, but you're right - that first setup shouldn't require CLI for a basic topology.
