You're testing HA failover. Good. But how much does that test cost you?
* How many simulated sites/devices are you running in the lab?
* Are you using full-blown Versa VMs for each node, or just containers?
* Did you factor in the compute, storage, and licensing costs for the standby instance that's just sitting there?
Everyone talks about uptime. No one talks about the bill for idle redundancy. If your failover test takes an hour, what's the AWS/GCP meter doing during that simulation?
