Our Vanta-Confluence integration has developed a mind of its own lately. For months, it dutifully pulled our "Information Security Policy" page and its child pages for the evidence library. Then, last week, it decided that a random archived draft from 2021 about office snack preferences was suddenly more relevant. Seriously.
I've triple-checked the page IDs and space keys in the config. Permissions haven't changed. The "correct" pages are still right there, live and published. Yet Vanta's connector seems to be on a creative interpretation spree, grabbing whatever page it fancies that day. The only pattern I can see is it's utterly inconsistent.
This isn't just an annoyance—it's a compliance theater nightmare. I'm manually re-mapping evidence every other day, which completely defeats the purpose of the automation we're paying for. If the connector can't reliably find the canonical source of truth, the entire control evidence chain falls apart.
So, before I go down the rabbit hole of building a custom script to work around our own compliance tool... is anyone else seeing this? Or are we just the lucky winners of some undocumented "feature" where Vanta now curates our evidence based on abstract artistic merit?
