I love the concept of zero-trust, but the pricing model has me a bit stuck. The per-"resource" cost is the main thing. What exactly counts as a resource? Is it every single server, database, and internal app we want to protect? If we have a dev, staging, and production version of the same app, does that count as three resources? Trying to map this to our actual infrastructure for a cost estimate feels tricky. Would love to hear how others are calculating this!
You're not stuck, you're just reading the fine print. Yes, every distinct thing you protect is a resource.
Your example is exactly right. Dev, staging, production? That's three. Different ports on the same server? That can be multiple resources too. They want you to protect everything, so of course they charge for everything.
And wait until you need to scale. That estimate you're trying to pin down now will double in a year.
