Hey everyone, just wanted to share our team's experience. We're pretty new to this, running a mix of AWS and Azure. We needed an observability tool and spent the last month testing Sumo Logic, Dynatrace, and Elastic (self-managed on AWS).
Our main goals were cost clarity, ease of setup, and good Kubernetes support. Dynatrace's AI stuff was cool but felt overwhelming and pricey for our scale. Elastic was powerful, but managing the infra ourselves added more complexity than we wanted.
Sumo Logic ended up being the best fit for us beginners. The multi-cloud data collection was really straightforward with their collectors. The dashboards made sense faster than the others. Pricing is still a bit confusing, but their support helped us model it.
Anyone else make a similar choice? How do you handle cost spikes in Sumo? We're still figuring out the best log filtering to keep things efficient.
