How do I get started if my company has never used a proper log tool?

Hey everyone! 👋 My company is finally ready to dive into using a real log management tool, and we've been looking at Sumo Logic. But honestly, it feels a bit overwhelming? We've been getting by with random text files and grep commands for years (I know, I know 😅).

We're a mid-sized team, mostly developers and a couple of sysadmins. I'm coming from the content and collaboration side, so I'm really curious about how to make the insights *actionable* for everyone, not just the tech folks. What about setting up dashboards for content performance or tracking user journey errors?

My main questions are:
- What's the absolute first step after signing up? Do we just install a collector and point it at... everything? That seems risky.
- How did you decide which logs to bring in first? Application, security, infrastructure? We can't boil the ocean.
- Are there specific "quick win" use cases we should aim for in the first week to show the team this is worth it? Like, reducing the time to debug a payment failure or something.
- What's the one thing you wish you'd known before your first deployment?

I'd love to hear about your "day one" experiences and any pitfalls you hit. Did you start small and grow, or go big and then prune back? Also, how did you get your non-technical colleagues excited about the data?
