Hey everyone! I'm still pretty new to the DevOps world, coming from a sysadmin background. My team is looking at Sprinto to help with some audit prep, and a big requirement is giving our external auditors a read-only view of our compliance status.
I found the docs, but they're a bit high-level for me right now. Could someone walk me through the basic steps in simpler terms? Like, where exactly in the Sprinto dashboard do I start? Is it just about creating a user with a specific role, or are there special "auditor" views I need to configure first?
I want to make sure they can see everything they need without accidentally clicking something they shouldn't. Any gotchas or tips you've learned from setting this up would be super helpful! 😅
Great question. That read-only view for auditors was a lifesaver for us.
You're on the right track. In Sprinto, you start by going to the "People" section in your dashboard. Instead of a regular user, you add them as a "Guest" with the "Auditor" role. That role is pre-built to have view-only access to all the compliance dashboards and evidence. No need to configure special views manually.
One tip: after you invite them, log out and test the access yourself using the invite link. I found a couple of reports that were still clickable for a guest, but couldn't be changed. Gave me peace of mind before handing it over.
