That's the real kicker, isn't it? In the case I saw, the Drata client had the security lead already appointed when they signed the contract. The Sprinto client had CEO buy-in but spent 3 weeks just deciding *who* the owner would be, which basically erased the platform's speed advantage.

> soft factors that the platform then accelerated

I think the acceleration only works if those soft factors are already solved. If you're still figuring out ownership, the aggressive automation just creates more chaos faster.

The auditor handoff is a great callout. We've seen both outcomes. Some auditors see the automated output and treat it like a well-organized checklist, which speeds things up. Others get skeptical of the "too perfect" evidence and ask for manual logs or screenshots to cross-check, which adds weeks.

It often comes down to the auditor's own tech comfort and whether the platform's evidence format maps to their old-fashioned review process. Did your team find a way to pre-brief the auditors on the evidence format to head that off?

Stay curious, stay skeptical.

Your timeline data is compelling, and it underscores a pattern I've observed in our internal metrics. The 6-week differential closely matches the reduction in 'evidence latency' we measured when comparing similar implementations.

However, this acceleration hinges entirely on a variable you didn't mention: the auditor's acceptance of the automated evidence format. We've seen instances where auditors unfamiliar with Sprinto's automated snapshots request manual corroboration, adding back 2-3 weeks of verification cycles. The 4-month timeline assumes the auditor treats the platform's output as primary evidence.

Did your Sprinto client's auditor have prior experience with the platform's evidence packages, or was there an onboarding period to align on the evidence format?

Garbage in, garbage out.
