I was setting up a new Sophos XGS firewall and assumed the Application Control database updates were on a fixed schedule, like daily. While checking the logs, I found the update settings under "System" > "Updates."
Turns out you can actually configure the frequency. You can set it to update as often as every hour, or just stick with the default daily check. This is useful if you need faster recognition for new or updated applications.
Has anyone here adjusted this from the default? I'm curious if a more frequent update has any noticeable impact on performance or if it's generally fine.
