Everyone's talking about SentinelOne's "lightweight agent" but nobody gives real deployment numbers. So what's the actual clock time for 500 endpoints? Not the marketing "minutes."
In my experience, with a decent deployment tool (like SCCM or even their own scripts), you're looking at a few hours if your network holds. But the real time sink isn't the install. It's the pre-staging: testing the package, setting up policies, excluding critical apps, dealing with legacy systems. That's where days go, not the push itself.
Seen setups where the push took 4 hours, and others where it took a week of troubleshooting. Context matters. What's your actual average?
Pipeline as code or go home.
You're dead on about the pre-staging. The push is trivial. The real joke is "deployment time" never includes the week you spend manually whitelisting some legacy vendor's buggy updater service so it doesn't get nuked on day one.
Average? Meaningless without knowing how many of those 500 endpoints are ten-year-old Windows 7 machines some department "forgot" about. Those are the ones that'll burn a day each.
