Everyone’s hyping Secureframe as the all-in-one compliance magic box. But for user access reviews? You're basically paying a premium for a glorified spreadsheet with a nicer UI and a long-term contract.

Their IAM "integration" is often just pulling a stale report from your IDP once a month. Real reviews need context, justification, and real-time role validation. That’s a dedicated IAM tool’s job. Secureframe’s approach is checklist compliance, not actual security. You’ll tick the audit box while orphaned accounts and over-privileged users sail right through.

Why bolt a wobbly scooter to a semi-truck? Just use the right tool. Or better yet, build a proper process with open-source tools you control.
