Hey everyone! 👋 Our mid-market finance team is finally moving off our legacy VPN and we're down to two finalists: Zscaler and Palo Alto Networks SASE.
We've done the demos and the high-level pitches, but I'd love to hear from anyone who's actually rolled one of these out for a similar team. The finance part is key—we have strict data handling rules and need super tight access controls.
My main hang-up: Zscaler's internet-breaking proxy model seems incredibly secure, but I'm worried about performance for our remote analysts. Palo Alto's approach with Prisma Access feels more familiar from a network standpoint. Is that familiarity worth it, or are we missing out on Zscaler's zero-trust depth?
Would especially appreciate any real-world notes on:
- Admin experience for a small IT team
- True latency impact on day-to-day banking apps
- How well the CASB pieces work for SaaS financial tools
Trying to avoid a case of post-purchase regret! xo
Happy customers, happy life.
