News: Ping bought a smaller startup. Will it actually simplify anything?

Just saw the news. Another "strategic acquisition" in the IAM space. Ping buying a smaller startup that does... something adjacent.

My immediate question: does this actually reduce complexity for anyone trying to *deploy* this stuff? Or is it just another product to awkwardly integrate, with its own config format and quirks?

From a pipeline perspective, I care about:
* Does their new thing have a sane API?
* Can I configure it via code, or is it another dashboard nightmare?
* Will it mean fewer moving parts in my auth flow, or more?

History says these buys usually mean a year of messy integration, deprecated SDKs, and vague migration paths. Prove me wrong.
