Hey everyone, I've been seeing more questions pop up about GDPR assessments lately. It makes sense—with all the new regulations, getting started can feel overwhelming.

I recently helped my team through this in OneTrust, coming from a Salesforce-centric background. The key is not to boil the ocean right away. In the platform, you'll want to head straight to the "Assessment & Reporting" module. Start with the GDPR Readiness Assessment template—it’s a solid baseline.

My advice? Focus on data mapping first. Before you even touch the assessment questions, try to get a handle on what personal data you collect, where it flows, and your legal basis for processing. OneTrust has tools for that, and it makes answering the assessment questions way easier. Has anyone else taken this approach? I'm curious if you started with the assessment itself or built up the data inventory concurrently.

Also, the reporting dashboard is your friend. It'll show you gaps visually, which helps when you need to explain priorities to stakeholders who aren't deep in the compliance weeds. Would love to hear about any gotchas or useful integration tips you've found, especially connecting to live systems like HubSpot or your CRM for that data mapping piece.
