Alright, I'll admit I'm coming at this from a slightly different angle. My world is usually email platforms and deliverability, but here's the thing: when you're managing 10k+ users, their identity is the bedrock everything else sits on. If your SSO is creaky, your CRM syncs, marketing automation triggers, and customer journey data all start to fall apart. It's the first domino.

So, we're evaluating Okta for a massive consolidation project. We've got a mess of legacy systems, a growing SaaS portfolio, and yes, my beloved email/marketing automation platforms (ActiveCampaign, SendGrid) need clean, reliable identity feeds. We're talking true enterprise scale: 10,000+ users, global teams, complex provisioning, and serious security posturing.

I'm looking for real, ground-level feedback from those who've lived with Okta at this scale. The glossy sales decks talk about "infinite scale," but I want the operational truth.

* **Performance & Daily UX:** Does the admin console or user dashboard get sluggish with tens of thousands of users? What about login latency during peak hours (9 AM Monday, global company)?
* **Lifecycle Management:** How does automated provisioning/de-provisioning *really* hold up when you're onboarding or offboarding hundreds at a time? Any sync delays with critical systems (think HRIS like Workday)?
* **Cost Beyond Licensing:** We all know the per-user pricing. But at this scale, what were the hidden or unexpected costs? Was the internal team you needed to manage it much larger than anticipated? Did you need premium support by necessity?
* **The Ecosystem Fit:** Specifically, how deep and reliable are the integrations for marketing and sales stacks (Salesforce, Marketo, etc.)? Are we talking true user profile synchronization, or just basic SAML?
* **The "Gotchas":** What's something you didn't anticipate during implementation that became a major headache a year in? Could be about custom workflows, API rate limits, or reporting limitations.

I love a powerful tool that works seamlessly, but I've seen too many "enterprise-grade" platforms buckle under their own complexity. Is Okta the genuine article here, or are we just buying the brand name? Your war stories and workflow reports are invaluable.
