Hey everyone! We're finally getting the budget approved to replace our patchwork of SSO and manual provisioning. It's down to Okta and OneLogin for our ~500 person team, and we're aiming to implement early next year.
I've done the initial demos and read the Gartner reports, but I'd love some real-world insights from this community. Our stack is pretty standard: Salesforce is our source of truth, we use Google Workspace, a handful of sales/marketing SaaS tools (like Marketo and Gong), and a growing number of dev tools in AWS.
A few specific things I'm wrestling with:
* **Lifecycle management:** How seamless is the HR-driven provisioning really? We're syncing from Workday.
* **IT Admin experience:** OneLogin's pricing seems simpler, but is Okta's extra cost worth it for the policy granularity and reporting?
* **The 2026 roadmap:** With all the consolidation in identity, does one feel more innovative or stable for the mid-market?
Our main goals are to improve security posture (obviously), cut down on IT ticket volume for access, and maybe even use groups for some basic app permissions.
Would especially love to hear from anyone who made this choice in the last year or two. What surprised you post-implementation? Any regrets?
