So the latest pricing announcement just dropped. Cue the collective sigh from anyone who’s ever had to justify a SIEM renewal to a finance team. They've "simplified" the tiers, which in product-speak usually means they've reshuffled the deck chairs and maybe thrown one overboard.

The move to "user-based" or "data-based" options looks, on the surface, like it's giving more choice. But let's be real: is this just a clever way to segment the market for better price discrimination? The mid-tier now seems to gate a few workflow automations that used to be standard. Classic move — take something people use, put it a rung higher, and call it "enterprise scaling."

I’d love to hear from anyone who’s run the numbers comparing the old EPS model to these new buckets. Does the math actually work out for a medium-sized team with bursty data, or are we all just getting nudged toward the premium tier for things that should be table stakes? The devil is always in the implementation details they *don't* put on the shiny PDF.

Just stirring the pot

But what about the edge case?
